PLN 280 million for Wrocław innovations, or 5 years of the “Bon na dotację” grant!

5 years have passed since the “Bon na dotację” grant was launched. It is a program run by the Wrocław Technology Park, thanks to which Wrocław companies obtained financing for projects worth over PLN 280 million!

The “Bon na dotację” grant is a mechanism that helps entrepreneurs to obtain funding from the European Union. It should be emphasized here that the preparation of an application that allows you to apply for it is an extremely complex, specialized and time-consuming process, especially when we are talking about funds in the order of several dozen million zlotys, which are intended to allow the creation of innovative technologies, products or services. The Wrocław Technology Park comes in handy here, providing the “Bon na dotację” grant, non-returnable support for companies planning to carry out research and development projects.

Wrocław innovations thanks to the “Bon na dotację” grant

5 years of the “Bon na dotację” grant is an opportunity to summarize. During this time, Wrocław Technology Park concluded, under the mechanism 84, agreements on cooperation with various types of enterprises. As many as 30 projects, which were developed with the participation of the “Bon na dotację” grant. received a grant. The success rate is therefore very high.

What projects are implemented thanks to the WPT program? These include perovskite solar cells from Saule Technologies, about which (on the occasion of the opening of the first factory in the world producing these revolutionary solar panels in the Wrocław Technology Park campus) the whole world has recently heard about. But that’s not all. It was also used by companies such as QNA Technology, which obtained funds for work on fluorescent ink based on semiconductor quantum dots, or the biotechnological company BIOTTS, which develops an innovative drug for diabetics applied through the skin, and Captor Therapeutics, which conducts works, among others, on innovative drug therapies. Thanks to the “Bon na dotację” grant, the Scanway company is also developing, which obtained funds for the creation of ScanSAT, a platform for satellite and aerial observations.

How does the “Bon na dotację” grant work?

The “Bon na dotację” grant mechanism consists in reimbursement of the incurred fixed costs of preparing the application for co-financing after its submission. The funds obtained under the “Bon na dotację” grant program may be allocated by the entrepreneur to cover his own costs incurred as part of the conducted activity or for remuneration for a specialized consulting company. Importantly, entrepreneurs can obtain support up to 100%. fixed costs of preparing documentation necessary to apply for EU funding for the implementation of research and development projects.
